Colonel Mustard German
Shepherd Dog, Labrador Retriever Mix
Colonel Mustard is ready for adoption!!! Colonel Mustard and his siblings
arrived at the rescue on 4-11-10. They are extremely thin and undernourished. We
do not have a lot of reliable information about these puppies as we have
received a lot of conflicting information from their owner. They *could* have
been born just after Christmas, or could have been born in February, he just
didn't remember. He knows that the mother dog is part lab and has some German
shepherd, but he does not know what the father was, unless he was a blue heeler
or maybe a small terrier. He said he did not know that puppies need to eat
something more than their mothers milk- but claimed to be feeding them dog chow.
What we do know is that these babies are so undersized that it is doubtful they
will get very big. They are gaining weight now, and hopefully all will survive.
In honor of their mysterious beginning, they have all been given names of
characters from the game "Clue". We anticipate this litter of puppies will be
ready to go to new homes the first week of May.

Tweedledee
Tweedledee is a 2 year old boy chihuahua who came to the rescue
with his dad, Tweedledum. We'd like to see these two get a home together if at
all possible. Tweedledee is a sweetheart who loves to play. He needs a fenced
yard where he can run or frequent exercise at a dog park. He is housebroken and
good with children, but has not lived with cats. Tweedledee's adoption fee will

Tweedledum
Tweedledum is a 4 year old Chihuahua who came to the rescue
with his son Tweedledee. He is a sweet tempered little boy who loves
everyone he meets. Tweedledum is the calmer of the 2 dogs, he likes to
go for walks and play, but prefers to be on your lap. We would really
like to find a home for the Tweedle's to go together. Tweedledum's

Prancer
Rottweiler, Labrador Retriever mix
Prancer came to us with a litter of week old puppies. All her babies have gone
to new homes, and now she is looking for a home too! Prancer needs a home
without poultry as she will chase chickens. She does not care for small dogs or
puppies, prefers to play with dogs bigger than herself or her same size. She
tends to be timid at first until she knows you are her friend and won't hurt
her. We think she had some abuse in the past before coming to the rescue.
Prancer is a sweet girl who is just waiting for a loving home. Will you help her
by being her forever home?

Beaner
Chihuahua, Rat Terrier mix
Boomer and his buddy Griffy were the victims of divorce. Their
mom was supposed to keep them as their dad was moving into an
apartment that did not allow pets. Imagine dad's surprise the next
morning when he went down to his truck to go to work and found
Boomer and Griffy in his truck. Their mom refused to take them back,
so for 2 weeks the boys lived in the cab of their owner's truck
until he could find placement for them. Every humane society for
over 100 miles around was full and turned their dad down. How sad!
We were happy to help. Boomer is a Chihuahua/Rat terrier mix. He is
about 2 years old. Boomer is very loving and sweet. He is a pretty
boy, dark russet brown with black grizzling throughout his short
coat. He is about 25 pounds and has long legs. He's a great size
housedog- small enough he won't clear the coffee table with his tail,
but big enough he's not going to get sucked up in the vacuum
cleaner! =) Boomer is a typical terrier and will chase cats and has
a strong prey drive for small furries like guinea pigs and rats, so
he'd be best suited in a dog only home. Boomer plays well with
children. When he first meets a new person he is a little shy, but
soon overcomes it once he knows you are a friend.

Husky, German Shepherd Dog
Smokey is a good ol' dog. He is socialized with
other dogs and enjoys playing with his kennel mates in their big run. He was
taken from a home of discontent and neglect....out on a chain forever and the
neighbors had to get food and water to him so he guards his food from the
other dogs. He is now fed once a day with his own bowl and food is taken away
when he is done. He is now filled out and healthy and ready to find a home. He
is up-to-date with routine shots and neutered.

Bumper
German Shepherd mix large adult male
Harvey is a German Shepherd mix about 8 years
old...but thinks that he is just a young squirt. With the heart of a teenager
and the silliness of Second grader, Harvey will remain forever young. Harvey
likes everyone and gets along well with other dogs. He would like to be goofy
with you. He is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and neutered.
Leo
Labrador Retriever
Leo is a Chocolate Lab mix about 7 years old. Leo
does not do well with other male dogs in his territory.....preferring females. He
is a fine family dog, healthy, happy, willing to please and quite smart. He has
been vet checked, given all shots, and been neutered.
Brody
Labrador Retriever mix
Brody came to us on 1-8-08 because his owner moved.... that's it, he
moved. Brody is about 6 years old, friendly, social, easy to please, steady and
very healthy. It is not his fault that he didn't fit in with their plans when
they moved. Brody would like to find a caring, responsible family. He has been
vet checked, given his shots and been neutered.

personality and like the energizer bunny, Sadie can go and go and... and would
be perfect for a fun loving family. She is a pretty, 2 year old Boxer mix. Sadie

Jake is a great guy--and would make a wonderful
companion for you. He is an 10 month old, Lab mix. (as of 8-20-09) Happy,
healthy, wants to please, loves everyone and everything...his goal in life is to
make someone smile everyday. Jake has been vet checked, is up to date on his
canine and rabies shots, and has been neutered. He is so ready to be your best
friend

We are keeping them until they are healthy. So far so good.......just wanted to give you all a preview. Please come in or call if you can help. They are all very sweet craving love & affection. She's a beautiful dog and just wants to be around people however she does have
hip displasia and will need a special proceedure done at some point in her life.
She currently walks as far as we can tell very well.
