Dew 
Labrdor Retriever mix puppy

Hi, my name is Dew. One day a man came and took me and my brothers and sisters away from my mama and gave us away to people in a parking lot. I was sad to see mama go away but the girls that took me giggled a lot and tickled and hugged me so it was pretty ok at first. Then they brought me back to a place called "colidge". Colidge is where the big kids go to become grownups and learn things. Wellll... the giggly girls didn't learn very well I guess because they weren't s'pposed to have puppies in their rooms. The didn't know what to do when the man came and said in a loud voice to "get rid of that thing!!!" so they put me outside in a green space between 2 tall buildings. I stayed there for days waiting for them to come back but the never did. Finally I tried to get other big kids to help me and find me my way back to mama where I was safe. But the other big kids must not have learned much at colidge either because they thought I was a football!!! It hurt so bad when they were kicking me. They were laughing so I thought it was a game and thought I was doing it wrong and thats why they were hurting me. They kept kicking me and laughing and then they threw cans of sweet stuff at me and got my fur all wet. I started licking up the sweet stuff and then they hit me and kicked me more. Finally I just could roll over and show them my tummy and beg PLEASE I am just a baby don't hurt me!!!! They thought it was funny and were laughing about throwing me in a lake. Then another big girl came. She had a little tiny girl with her dressed in pink. The big girl yelled at the boys and told them they were VERY BAD and should be ASHAMED of themselves. She told the boys that I was a baby just like the little girl in pink (who smelled like sunshine) and that if their mothers had known that they had hurt a baby like me that they would be so sad. She grabbed me and hugged me and the boys got red faces and walked away. The little pink sunshine smelling girl hugged me too. They put me in their car and we drove out to a place with lots of other animals. Some of the other animals were ones that people had hurt too. Some of them were just thrown away. I was really lucky that the little pink sunshiney girl and her mama found me. Now my belly is full of food (YUM!) and I don't hurt anymore from kicks or teases. The big girl told me I only have to stay here a little bit til my fambly comes along. I don't know what a fambly is. A big dog next to me said that a fambly is the people you live with that love you. So if you see my fambly out there that are looking for me, please have them call the people here at the animal place and let them know who you are. I've been looking for you everywhere. Princess Chihuahua 
Princess and Buddy are 2 chihuahuas that came into rescue due to their owner being forced to move. Princess was born in January of this year, making her about 8 months of age. She is very social and a sweet little girl. She has been trained to go potty on pee pee pads. Princess loves to go for walks and have fun! Princess must be spayed before leaving the rescue. Her adoption fee of 350$ helps cover vet expenses.

Dexter.
Pit Bull Terrier
Dexter arrived at the rescue on 9-8-08. He was found south of Bagley. Dexter arrived at a kind person's home, dragging a long rope. He apparently escaped his abusive home and finally found a friend to help him. Dexter has severe mange and has infected bite wounds over his entire body. His tail has been chopped off. He is underweight and malnourished. Our veterinarian feels that Dexter was a bait dog for a dog fighting ring. He has a super sweet and kind temperament and no aggressive tendencies. As he heals we will learn more about him. Dexter has been through so much in his short life, and we may never know exactly what happened to him. Perhaps this is best, for I do not know if our hearts could bear the burden that Dexter carries from his abuse. We are working hard to ensure that from this day forward, Dexter knows ONLY kindness and love. His new home will have to be very special. His recovery will be long, slow, and expensive. Scooter
Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher young male mix
Scooter is one of 70 dogs that came to Minnesota from an overcrowded shelter in California. These 70 dogs faced mass euthanasia and a monumental effort was made to spare their lives. Scooter was very lucky to have survived in the shelter and make the journey here. We were glad to be able to help take in a few of these dogs and find them loving homes. Scooter is about 1 year of age, and appears to be a Chihuahua/min pin cross. He is a stag red color. Scooter is a great little dog and loves attention. He has a typical min pin temperament- feisty, fiery and fun! Scooter's adoption fee of 350$ helps cover the cost of his neuter, health testing, vaccinations and any other necessary medical work and transport. Our rescue pets stay in foster homes. Mimsie 
Jack Russell Terrier, Beagle young small female mix
Mimsie is one of 70 dogs rescued from a shelter suffering from overcrowding and facing mass euthanasia. Mimsie and several of her friends came to our rescue for help and the chance at finding the perfect home. This little girl is LOVE LOVE LOVE. She is about 1 year old. Mimsie is a HUGE fan of belly rubs- be sure to see her belly rub video! She is a short, long dog, and has features of both a Jack Russell and a Beagle. Super sweet, Super loving, and Super special! Mimsie's adoption fee of 350$ helps pay the cost of her spay, vaccinations, health testing, deworming, flea/tick treatments, vet check and transport.

Hannah Marie
Hanna Marie is a sweet 8-10 month old female lab mix. She is mostly lab- unknown what her other breeds may be. Hanna Marie was pulled from a shelter that was so crowded it was forced to euthanize for space. She is an extremely intelligent and willing dog that will make a wonderful family pet or assistance dog. Hanna Marie has a great outlook on life! She is always happy and ready to play. She is about 40 lbs, and will probably mature to be about 50 lbs. Hanna Marie has been heartworm tested negative and is up to date on vaccinations. She will be spayed prior to adoption. Before you say they are to old to think about adopting think of this.
If you have a young dog you and your dog could benefit taking in one to give guidance &  wisdom that older dogs are known to do. 
Now if you already have a dog or two maybe you still have room in your heart and home and give one of these a good retirement for the time they have left. Who knows maybe you are meant to entertain one of them..

Checkers was left abandoned and brought to us by someone who cared. Nice dog. Checkers is about 2 years old, very healthy. He has been vet checked, given his shots and been neutered. He would like a family that he could romp and play with.

Bosco is a large dog, Labrador and Blue Healer mix, and has more blue healer attitude than Labrador. He would prefer a home with room to run where he can work as a protector.

Hoover is a 6 year old Terrier mix. His owner was too busy to take care of him. Hoover lived next to a bar and has no tolerance for drunks. He has been vet checked, given his shots and neutered.

Morgan is a wonderful senior about 10 year old medium size dog. He is easy to get along with because he likes everybody and everything. He also likes to talk to you and tell you about his day. Morgan has had his shots, is neutered and is very healthy. He came to us because his caregiver could not take care of him. No one has told him that he is getting on in years as he is energetic.

Smokey is a good ol' dog. He is socialized with other dogs and enjoys playing with his kennel mates in their big run. He was taken from a home of discontent and neglect....out on a chain forever and the neighbors had to get food and water to him so he guards his food from the other dogs. He is now fed once a day with his own bowl and food is taken away when he is done. He is now filled out and healthy and ready to find a home.

Shiloh 
Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie mix
Meet Shiloh. He has a very sad tale to tell. He and another dog were dumped in a swamp in the middle of the woods. After leading rescuers a merry chase the dogs finally had faith that they would not come to harm. Shiloh had to be shaved so that we could see where the hot spots were and to get off the hundreds of ticks. He is cooler now and ready to find his forever home. Shiloh has been given his shots, and been neutered. House training is being worked on.
