Animals of every shape and size from A to Z
WhipStaff Rescue

WhipStaff Ranch and Rescue is the only rescue in Northern MN that can take horses. Horses stay at the ranch or in foster homes until they are adopted. We do NOT sell horses at auction because we do not put our animals at risk of slaughter. We need kind loving forever homes, particularly for aged animals or those that are companion only and cannot be ridden. But right now what we need most is hay! Hay is scarce in our area and there is no shortage of horses that need help. We have to turn down horses in need every week because we do not have the hay to feed everyone that needs help. We have space, a wonderful vet, and willing hands, but need YOUR help to feed these majestic creatures. It costs the rescue about 400$ per year to buy hay for a horse. Would you sponsor a bale? Bales of hay cost 35$ and last the average horse 3 weeks. Please consider the donation of hay or hay funds- you'll be directly helping an animal in need. We are a 501c3 organization and your support is fully tax deductible. www.whipstaff-ranch.com/rescue.html!
3-4 year old male
Green Iguana
Draco is a 3-4 year old male Green Iguana. He has been handled at the
rescue but he does not like it very much- a very typical male. He has never
bitten, but I'm sure if he had the chance he would gladly do so. =) Draco came
to us malnourished from a diet of iceberg lettuce and green beans. He is now
eating a complete and balanced diet of 10-15 different fruits and veggies and
greens daily as well as calcium supplementation. Previous iguana experience will
be necessary to adopt Draco. We are members of the Green Iguana Society http://www.greenigsociety.org/
and we strongly suggest anyone interested in adoption an Ig to please read every
page on their website. You will need at minimum a very large secure enclosure, a
Powersun UVB/UVA basking bulb, nighttime heat source, and climbing platforms in
the enclosure.
